Hey ladies,

Here's my current wip. This is a very well-known Lanarte! I've had this one for ages, but I finally decided to start it! A real pleasure to stitch, like all Lanarte, despite the many colors changes.

Besides this, and after Annette's comments, I'll tell you a bit more about us. As you know, I had a baby boy a while ago. Well, now, Maël is 19 months old. My daughter will soon turn 11 and Noah has turned 5 in November. Life at home is everything but quiet! lol. I'm still working, so, as I've said before, it is not that easy to find time to stitch.

Hello dear (lost???) stitching friends,

First of all, it is not too late to wish you all a very happy, healthy, joyful and wealthy 2012.

It's been ages since I last posted on my blog. Well, I must say that life with three kids is very busy and I don't have much time left for x-stitching. BUT, I still stitch!!!! Of course! Just a bit more slowly. Last week, I started a Lanarte kit I've had for years.

I have no picture yet of my progress, but half of the bench is done as well as the mushroom right below the bench. Just started the squirrel...

That's the view I had this morning when I arrived at the office. I just stopped and quickly took out my camera to take a picture.

So today started very well. I also got the package from Sharmila, I won her giveaway on her blog Stitching my way

A huuuuuuuuuge thank you to Sharmila. Everything is just perfect: the "L", the bag, the earrings, which I'll sure be wearing, the keyring (already with my housekeys) and the threads.
First time for me I ever received something from India. So, it's an honor for me Sharmila.

I hope I can be back soon to show you some progress on my Advent Calendar. I'm on the backstitching part of the main frame, and it takes FOR-EVER!!!! Anyway, I want it to be done!!!!

Wishes for 2011 and resolutions

Dear readers,

First of all, I want to wish you all a very happy New Year. I hope this upcoming year will be full of happiness, joy, health, and welfare.

In September, I decided to work back on my UFO's. So, today, I set up a list of all the UFO's (or long time WIP's, call them what you want ;o)

And, I came up with this:

Advent Calendar - Dimensions
Maidens of the seasons I - Mirabilia
Maidens of the seasons II - Mirabilia
Fairy Flora - Mirabilia
Bouquet of roses - Thea Gouverneur
Japanese Serenity - DMC
Chocolate Party - DMC

So, that makes 9. My resolution for this year is to make good progress on these and hope to finish some of them. The Advent Calendar will be done, for sure. On a forum, a UFO day has been set up, which means we'll be working on one of our UFO every Thursday and show our progress on Fridays. I think I'll stick to the bouquet of roses. This is a hard one but so pretty that I want to finish it.

I'll also be starting a new project after my advent calendar. This is my reward for ending up a few UFO's since september. But, I haven't chosen yet.

I'll keep you posted about this.

I have not been very present lately. I'm a bit in a down mood for the moment. Probably due to the weather conditions. I am so tired, not feeling very well. Just staying home would be great for the moment (which is not good for me when I feel that way). So, in a word, feeling a bit depressed.

Anyway. Some news: Noah had the chicken pox a few weeks ago. He probably caught it at school. And, 10 days later, guess who got chicken pox too? Maël!!!! I was a bit scared as he's only 5 months old, but it went on better that I thought. I stayed at home with him for a few days, just to make sure he was alright. So, now, every little one is back to normal ;o)

Regarding the stitching part, I've been a bit lazy (probably due to my feeling down moment) but I caught up on my Cupcakes SAL. Here's the pic:

We had kind of a lazy week-end and so had no mojo for blogging BUT I had my mojo to stitch (and do some laundry too, even if we had a lazy week-end).

As I told you in my other post, I had a quiet week-end but did not stitch as much as I wanted... But here's some progress.

Hello dear readers,

I hope you had a nice week-end. Mine was quiet but with a great accomplishment!!! I told you already about my daughter willing to learn cross-stitch. Well, this week-end, she didn't know what to do to get busy... huh... So, I just threw a "do you wanna try x-stitch?". She just yelled "oh, yes, mummy". So, I took out the small kit I bought for her in my latest order (the one with the stars), and I started to show her how to stitch. She just got hooked and stitched for the rest of the evening!!!!! She even said "it's my new passion". I can't believe it. I'm soooooooo happy. Now, I hope she will stick to it.

During my pregnancy, I did not touch a needle, and did not even have a look at my stash (thing I like to do when I'm feeling down).

I bought the "Stars" for my daughter Lynn. A few weeks ago, she insisted to learn x-stich with a friend of hers (our neighbour). She tried a year ago but was not patient enough to stick to it. So, I promised her I would get a colourful kit for her. I found this one: colourful, not too hard to start with, contains a hoop and, not too expensive. If she sticks to this one, I'll sure show you her progress. She would be very proud. BUT, let's see first if she really gets into it ;o)

Yes, do you remember this little boy?

Well, since this picture, he grew up a bit. Look at him now! He looks so much older ;o)

I did not stitch on this one for a few months and, as Christmas approaches, I decided to get this one out of my drawer. I stitched the few missing stitches on the boy and then did the backstitches, which was a good idea. Motivation is back as I really like the result. Hope this will keep me going ;o)

Today is Friday, so today, we should get the next step on the Cupcakes SAL!!! Can't wait. Unfortunately, I won't be able to stitch tonight. I'm having a Tupperware presentation at home. Good thing is that it's another opportunity to gather with my friends (hubby and I really like to regularly have our friends for dinner).

So, I should give you some news about the SAL tomorrow...

Cupcakes SAL

Yep, it's Friday. Step 2 on the Cupcakes SAL is online and I just finished it!

Here's the picture:

Unfortunately, I have nothing else to show for the moment. I picked an old UFO but just can't stick to this one!!! No way!!! I don't like this one for the moment so I have to find something else but too tired. I got back to work a week ago and finding the right planning at home, with 3 kids, is not easy. It's ok, but I'm very tired. Have to get used to this new rythm: getting up at 5.30 am, shower, getting dressed, a bit of make up, preparing lunch for the kids at school, preparing baby bottles for Maël, preparing breakfast for kids and hubbie, a bit of laundry, a bit of cleaning, having the kids to get up, getting them dressed, bringing Mael to the daycare, bringing the big ones to school, going to work!!!!!!!!!!!! And after my working day: picking up the kids at school and daycare, going home, prepare dinner, bringing kids to music classes, coming back, having dinner, shower or bath for the kids, getting them to sleep, a bit of x-stitch (finally) and ..... I'm dead!!! Want my bed!!!! I'm not complaining at all. Just need time to get used to this! That's life!

Another Happy Dance and a new SAL

Hello ladies,

I did it again! Yes! I finished another old UFO. It's the MVS' A star is born. I already talked about this one months ago but could not finish it. Could not find the mojo to stitch with the golden metallic thread. BUT I finally did it!!!!!!

Done with the first step:

Digging to find the next UFO. I found a very old one (one of my first big project). I washed it this morning. I don't know yet if I'll find the motivation to end this one. Still a lot to stitch on this one. I think I'll alternate with my Advent Calendar (Dimensions). Pictures will follow anyway.

A "Happy Dance" and a new challenge

Well, before showing you what I finished last Thursday, let me show you which UFO I got out of my drawers to be the next "Happy Dance" (understand: finished project).

This one is hard to finish as the last stitches are the isolated stitches all around the main drawing. Really, such a pain. BUT I promised myself I would end up some old UFO's and I wanna stick to my promise.

So here it is, as it was when I let it out of the darkness ;o)

Next one? Well, I'm back on the "SAL Lilipoint" which is now over, but I did not finish it. So, first, finish this one, and then off to another UFO (but I don't know which one yet). I still have the Maidens, but this one is very long, so I think I'll finish some shorter UFO's before getting back on this one. It's not quite an UFO, it's just that pregnancy brought me in a "no-stitch", "no-blog", "no-nothing" mood ;o)

Can you believe it???

Oh, yes. I can hear you thinking "Is she still alive"? Yes I am.

I gave birth to our baby boy on June 24, 2010. He is named Maël and he is sooooooooooooo cute, so nice, so everything ;o)

I'll be back to work in 10 days. Not really looking forward to it, but I have to. Hard for me to think that I'll have to let my 3 kids behind after staying home for 9 months.

Anyway. My cross-stich project have also been left behind for months but I got back to it a few weeks ago. I managed to finish the birth record project for Maël, I also finished the MS' Calendar Cats yesterday and also a bib for Yasmine, our friends' daughter born in August.

I hope I'll also manage to get time to blog a bit more and get the chance to read you all again.

Why I have been in a "no-blogging" mood...

Hello my dear readers,

It's been soooooo long since I last posted. Well, the reason for this is a good one. Just check in the upper right block..... ;o)

I have been very very tired (in such a way I could not even stitch... does this mean anything to you??? ;o)) and I am quite sick. So stitching is not on my to-do list for the moment.

BUT, everything is ok. I am fine, the baby is fine. So the rest will wait.

So pardon me for not being present on my blog, but also for not reading yours lately. I'll have to catch up.

There you go!!!! I finally got something to show. I did manage to work on my Advent Calendar.

I started from the middle, so that's why I only stitched a few dates, went on with a part of the border and up to the main part ;o)

New Christmas project

Hello hello. Nope, no progress to show yet. Sorry.

I have put my Maiden aside for the moment (but not for long). The reason for this? A new start of course ;o). On "Le nuage des brodeuses", a new Sal has been launched but not a usual Sal. Actually, we just chose the project we want (just Christmas related) and as a goal: make good progresses on it, and if possible, even finish it (no kidding). No precise goals, so quite easy to follow.

So, to get all chances to make nice progress, I just decided that putting the Maiden aside would be the best solution and I'll get back to it right after this one.

Here is what I picked:

I started yesterday: had to prepare the floss first, which took a while, and then could set the first few stitches. Nothing "showable" for the moment, but maybe tonight as I have this afternoon off of work and free of "kids" stuff such as music classes and so on (teachers are ill).

Thanks a lot also to all of you for your nice comments. I am feeling a bit better. It's probably due to the change in seasons (always feeling down in those moments).

Well, I don't have much progress to show today as Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are crazy days at home, so not much time spent on my stitches.

BUT, I had time to stitch a little puppy. This is going to be a gift to a friend of mine... I should sew this either tonight or tomorrow, but I can already show you the stitching part of it. Here it is:

Well, no update to show. I haven't had much time to cross-stich this week. Had quite much to do (driving my daughter to the music classes, dance classes, aikido classes, getting some food, cleaning the house, doing the laundry, going to the restaurant with some friends, celebrating my brother-in-law's birthday, going at my parents....). Well, just could relax yesterday night. So nothing worth a picture to show.

Well, could not post earlier: we're having internet problems at home. We can't get a stable connection. We don't know if it's our modem's fault or if it's in the line.

Anyway. Today, I can post my progress!!!

Goal 1 of the Sal de Noel is achieved. I finished this yesterday.

Helloooooooooooooo,

Today is one of these days you wish you'd never got up. I had a quite stressing night. My baby boy has had fever since Saturday night and last night, it was really really high. So I decided to go to the hospital as I could not bring the fever down. The doctor gave him a medicine and looked for symptoms of something but could not find anything. She just told me that it is "normal" for children to have fever during 48 hours. So I just got back home with Noah and went back to bed. Do I have to tell you I could not sleep???? Anyway, this morning, it looks like he feels a bit better but he started coughing. So I called the doctor and... am still waiting....

Back to crossstitching? Yes, I have an update on my first maiden. As the title's stating it: she can see!!!! Here is a picture taken this morning:

I have to prepare the fabric for the upcoming "Sal de Noel". I'll probably get my sewing maching out this afternoon, if Noah is not feeling too bad.

Hi dear friends,

Fall is close! It is getting quite cold already. Feels like summer is definitely over now! I hate cold weather. Maybe I should move to another place then huh! Well, that's life!!!! Gotta go on!

I am going to start a new project (again???). A Sal is being launched on Polka's blog and I am participating. Here is a picture of the project:

I choose the upper version. It's a Lilipoint. We are starting on october 1st. So this weekend, I will be preparing the fabric and get the missing colors.

Well. Where have I been? What have I been doing? Well, one thing is for sure: no blogging for a while.

I have been quite busy and had a few things to arrange. Now, everything is back to normal.

Latest news? Kids went back to school. Lynn likes it but she's already in this kind of attitude: "I did my homeworks Mommy. Nothing else to do" BUT if you check her agenda, there are some stuffs to do!!!! Oh well! That's life. Just an everyday struggle ;o)

Noah also started officially his first year of school. He went to school a bit last year, but just a few weeks. He's adorable (that's what the teacher says) and I can confirm he is ;o). I'm the mother right? hum hum. He loves it and is making good progress on language (he is a bit lazy on that).

Did I hear you say "cross stitch". Well, shame on me. I can't show you my Calendar Cats as they are back in their nice drawer. I had a long break with no cross stich at all. And I wanted to do something completely different. So I am now back on my Maidens of the Seasons (Mirabilia).

Hellooooooooooo,

After a way tooooo short week-end (I hate Mondays), I'm back to show you my latest finish. Well, it's a small one, but considering how busy I have been lately, I'm happy to have something (finished) to show.

So here it is. A bookmark (Janlynn) stitched on plastic canvas. Really easy. I stitched most of it on the plane during the flight of my latest business trip (it only happens once or twice a year). This one is for my daughter and she loves it.
