Why I have been in a "no-blogging" mood...

Hello my dear readers,

It's been soooooo long since I last posted. Well, the reason for this is a good one. Just check in the upper right block..... ;o)

I have been very very tired (in such a way I could not even stitch... does this mean anything to you??? ;o)) and I am quite sick. So stitching is not on my to-do list for the moment.

BUT, everything is ok. I am fine, the baby is fine. So the rest will wait.

So pardon me for not being present on my blog, but also for not reading yours lately. I'll have to catch up.

Hope you are all doing well.

Wishing you already the best for the upcoming new year, and also a very happy Christmas.

Yes!!! Something to show

There you go!!!! I finally got something to show. I did manage to work on my Advent Calendar.

Here's the pic (sorry for the quality but I did yesterday night, just before going to sleep, so bad light)

I started from the middle, so that's why I only stitched a few dates, went on with a part of the border and up to the main part ;o)

Have a nice day, and of course, thanks a lot to all of you for your nice comments.

New Christmas project

Hello hello. Nope, no progress to show yet. Sorry.

I have put my Maiden aside for the moment (but not for long). The reason for this? A new start of course ;o). On "Le nuage des brodeuses", a new Sal has been launched but not a usual Sal. Actually, we just chose the project we want (just Christmas related) and as a goal: make good progresses on it, and if possible, even finish it (no kidding). No precise goals, so quite easy to follow.

So, to get all chances to make nice progress, I just decided that putting the Maiden aside would be the best solution and I'll get back to it right after this one.

Here is what I picked:

I started yesterday: had to prepare the floss first, which took a while, and then could set the first few stitches. Nothing "showable" for the moment, but maybe tonight as I have this afternoon off of work and free of "kids" stuff such as music classes and so on (teachers are ill).

Thanks a lot also to all of you for your nice comments. I am feeling a bit better. It's probably due to the change in seasons (always feeling down in those moments).

Have a nice day.

Yes, some progress to show....

... on my Maiden (not much, but still!) and on my SAL de Noël.

Here are the pictures:

Goal 2 is achieved!!! Hurray!!!

And, finally, going now in the bottom part for my Maiden:

And, I messed up the sewing part on my Burberry doggies. I'll have to start all over again, but it does not take long, so I'll set this on my to do list for this week-end ;o)

Don't have much to say today. I'm not feeling good, feeling down (have been feeling this way for a few days). Oh well, I'll feel better tomorrow.

Have a nice day.

A lil' something

Well, I don't have much progress to show today as Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are crazy days at home, so not much time spent on my stitches.

BUT, I had time to stitch a little puppy. This is going to be a gift to a friend of mine... I should sew this either tonight or tomorrow, but I can already show you the stitching part of it. Here it is:

Is it just me?

Hi ladies (and gentlemen, of course;o),

Well, no update to show. I haven't had much time to cross-stich this week. Had quite much to do (driving my daughter to the music classes, dance classes, aikido classes, getting some food, cleaning the house, doing the laundry, going to the restaurant with some friends, celebrating my brother-in-law's birthday, going at my parents....). Well, just could relax yesterday night. So nothing worth a picture to show.

I'll make a quick tour on your blogs to keep me informed about what y'all have been up to lately.

Thanks for passing by and thanks a lot for your nice comments.

Some progress tomorrow probably.

Have a nice day.

Goal 1 achieved!

Well, could not post earlier: we're having internet problems at home. We can't get a stable connection. We don't know if it's our modem's fault or if it's in the line.

Anyway. Today, I can post my progress!!!

Goal 1 of the Sal de Noel is achieved. I finished this yesterday.

Here's the pic:

And now, my progress on my maiden:

Tonight, I'll be starting the second part (bottom), which should go quite fast as there is not much color changes.

Hope you all had a nice week-end.

SAL de Noel is starting today!!!!

Yes. Really excited about this new start.

Everything is ready. Check this out:

I made a little progress on my first Maiden but did not take any picture. I'll probably be working on my Lilipoint tonight but tomorrow might be the day for a picture of my progress ;o)

Thanks a lot for your visits and comments.

Have a nice day.

She can see!!!!

Today is one of these days you wish you'd never got up. I had a quite stressing night. My baby boy has had fever since Saturday night and last night, it was really really high. So I decided to go to the hospital as I could not bring the fever down. The doctor gave him a medicine and looked for symptoms of something but could not find anything. She just told me that it is "normal" for children to have fever during 48 hours. So I just got back home with Noah and went back to bed. Do I have to tell you I could not sleep???? Anyway, this morning, it looks like he feels a bit better but he started coughing. So I called the doctor and... am still waiting....

Back to crossstitching? Yes, I have an update on my first maiden. As the title's stating it: she can see!!!! Here is a picture taken this morning:

I have to prepare the fabric for the upcoming "Sal de Noel". I'll probably get my sewing maching out this afternoon, if Noah is not feeling too bad.

Hope you are all doing well. I'll make a quick tour on your blogs to take some news.

Thanks for following my blog.

A new project

Hi dear friends,
Fall is close! It is getting quite cold already. Feels like summer is definitely over now! I hate cold weather. Maybe I should move to another place then huh! Well, that's life!!!! Gotta go on!

I am going to start a new project (again???). A Sal is being launched on Polka's blog and I am participating. Here is a picture of the project:

I choose the upper version. It's a Lilipoint. We are starting on october 1st. So this weekend, I will be preparing the fabric and get the missing colors.

Check out Polka's blog for more info (blog in French).

Wow! Such a long time not blogging

Well. Where have I been? What have I been doing? Well, one thing is for sure: no blogging for a while.
I have been quite busy and had a few things to arrange. Now, everything is back to normal.

Latest news? Kids went back to school. Lynn likes it but she's already in this kind of attitude: "I did my homeworks Mommy. Nothing else to do" BUT if you check her agenda, there are some stuffs to do!!!! Oh well! That's life. Just an everyday struggle ;o)

Noah also started officially his first year of school. He went to school a bit last year, but just a few weeks. He's adorable (that's what the teacher says) and I can confirm he is ;o). I'm the mother right? hum hum. He loves it and is making good progress on language (he is a bit lazy on that).

Did I hear you say "cross stitch". Well, shame on me. I can't show you my Calendar Cats as they are back in their nice drawer. I had a long break with no cross stich at all. And I wanted to do something completely different. So I am now back on my Maidens of the Seasons (Mirabilia).

Here is a picture:

And other news: a few weeks ago, we had someone visiting the property. She decided to stay for an undefined period ;o). Here is Babou:

Wanna see some September cat?

Hey Hey Hey!!! No, I am not done with this one but I made some progress. Could have been better, but not too bad considering the time I have to crossstich lately.

So ladies (and gentlemen if there are any ;o) ), let me introduce my September Kitty:

And here, a complete view:

Have a nice and shiny day.

Sunday: Time for a new update

End of the week-end!!!!! Bouh, I hate this! I hate Mondays. Going to the office is stressing for me at the moment. I wish I could just skip....

But, well, that's the way it goes...

Don't want to bother you with my worries, so let's go back to the serious matters: cross-stitch.

I did make a few progress on my Calendar Cats: I finished the July one.

Here it is:

Time for me to make a quick tour on your blogs, to keep me informed about what you are all up to.

Then: time for a goodnight sleep.

I promised....

So yes, here I am, sticking to my promises.

A quick update on my WIP.

Sorry for the quality of the pictures, but I had to take them in a hurry.

General overview:

Details of July's cat:

Time for an update

After a way tooooo short week-end (I hate Mondays), I'm back to show you my latest finish. Well, it's a small one, but considering how busy I have been lately, I'm happy to have something (finished) to show.

So here it is. A bookmark (Janlynn) stitched on plastic canvas. Really easy. I stitched most of it on the plane during the flight of my latest business trip (it only happens once or twice a year). This one is for my daughter and she loves it.

Will be back later today to show my WIP on the Margaret Sherry's Calendar Cats.

Have a nice day.

A new start

Why not...
I have experienced blogging before. It's easy to use but not that easy to keep it up to date BUT I decided to give it another try and I WANT to stick to it.

Sharing is tempting. So here I am. Wanting to share my passions and a bit of my life.
